BLUEBIRD GUESTHOUSE, Portland

Bluebird Guesthouse is located in the Division/Clinton Neighborhood, a walkable area in Southeast Portland with brewpubs, restaurants, antique malls, and indie boutiques. Nearby are Hawthorne and Belmont. A short drive will get you to Reed College and the west side of town. The Guesthouse is 10 km from Portland International Airport. Bus #2 stops one block away, providing access to downtown. Take Madison over the Hawthorne Bridge to 11th Ave.

All guest rooms have private bathrooms. Four bathrooms are en-suite, while two are accessed via the hallway. All rooms include towels, shampoo/soap combos, bathrobes, and hairdryers. The hot water lasts for as long as you need it. Rooms have luxury mattresses, modern windows, insulated walls, and carpeting. Rooms are ready by 3 p.m. Windows in the Gabriel Garcia-Marquez room offer views of the backyard. Guests can request a twin mattress to be brought into the Beverly Cleary, Ursula K. Le Guin, Ken Kesey, & Elliott Smith Rooms.

The Gabriel Garcia-Marquez room features a king bed, original built-in armoire, desk, reading chair, patterned carpet, and in-room controls for air conditioning and heat. The en-suite bathroom has a claw-foot tub with shower, toilet, and period sink. The Beverly Cleary room, located upstairs, includes a king bed, antique armoire and dresser, reading chair, desk, and patterned carpet. It overlooks the front yard and has in-room controls for air conditioning and heat. Its en-suite bathroom has a toilet, sink, and modern shower. The Ursula K. Le Guin room, located upstairs, has a queen bed and large windows with a view of the neighborhood. It features a vaulted ceiling, large closet, antique desk, reading chair, and in-room controls for air conditioning and heat. A private bathroom down the hall includes a toilet room with sink and a separate modern shower.

A complimentary continental breakfast is available with coffee, tea, dairy/plant milks, orange juice, hot chocolate, yogurts, hard-boiled eggs, local bagels and bread with spreads, pastries, fruit, muffins, cereals, oatmeal, breakfast bars, and nuts. Vegan bagels and gluten-free options are available. Guests can cook in the full kitchen and prepare meals, with storage and a fridge available. The kitchen should be left clean after use.

Bluebird Guesthouse offers free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property. Laundry machines are open 4-10 p.m. Guests can relax in the social rooms and luggage storage is available. Complimentary laundry machines are open 4-10pm everyday, and an iron/board are available. The Division/Clinton neighborhood features restaurants, shops, cafes, and gardens. Street parking is free. The Guesthouse has a 2 room per party limit. Safety features include a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher, a smoke detector, and a first aid kit.
