Rooms at Eagle Rock
Eagle Rock Lodge features nine rooms, five in the main lodge and four in the detached Forest House. The Osprey Suite, located upstairs in the main lodge, includes a sitting area with a leather loveseat and club chair that closes off from the bedroom. The Damselfly Room has two separate bedrooms, each with one queen bed; this room holds a maximum of four adults. Mayfly, in the Forest House, has a queen bed, gas fireplace, two leather easy chairs, and a two-person jetted tub. Songbird, also in the Forest House, features a king Mission-style bed, a sitting area with a gas fireplace, a two-person jetted tub, and a separate shower. Owl, on the second floor of the main lodge, has a king bed and a private deck. The Nest, located on the top floor of the Forest House, has two queen beds and a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher. All rooms come with A/C, complimentary Wi-Fi, a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, robes, and toiletries. The Caddisfly Room accommodates most ADA requirements.
Breakfast and Local Dining
All stays include a full cooked-to-order breakfast each morning, featuring fresh fruit, homemade granola, fruit juice, and baked specialties, followed by menu options like Marion Berry Stuffed French Toast, Avocado Toast, Tofu Scramble, Poached Egg Stackers, and Eggs 'your way' with bacon, sausage, or vegetarian sausage. A complimentary glass of wine and a snack are served in the afternoon. For other meals, Takoda's Restaurant is 11 miles upriver and McKenzie Station Restaurant and Bar is about 14 miles upriver; McKenzie Bridge General Store/Obsidian Grill offers takeaway and inside/tent seating.
Leisure at Eagle Rock
The Lodge has over 400 feet of river frontage and almost five acres of gardens. Guests may fish off the banks (license required). The McKenzie River offers opportunities for fly fishing and whitewater rafting. Guests can hike or mountain bike the McKenzie River Trail. A grill is available for guest use on the main deck. Guests might see local Roosevelt elk and bald eagles. Tokatee Golf Club is 11 miles east, and Hoodoo Ski Park is about an hour's drive.
Location and Access
Eagle Rock Lodge is 80 km from Eugene/Mahlon Sweet Field. It is situated on almost five acres of gardens, forest and riverside. Aufderheide Scenic Drive is 10 miles east of the Lodge. Hwy 126 East connects to Main Street on the east side of town; the Lodge is at milepost 34.5. From Bend, travel west on Highway 126.
Services and Accessibility
The Lodge provides complimentary Wi-Fi and a wine/snack hour each afternoon. The Caddisfly Room accommodates most ADA requirements, with handicap access from the main parking area, a large door entry and bathroom entry, hand/grip rails in the bathroom, and a roll-in shower with a pull-down seat. Guests not able to climb stairs can access the main Lodge/breakfast room via a wooden ramp at the back of the main lodge building. Service animals are allowed with specific documentation. Smoking is prohibited on porches, patios, decks, and indoors.
