The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle, housed in a 1960s building that formerly served as a phone switching station and remodeled into the current hotel in 1997, features rooms with pillow-top beds and Italian Frette linens. Rooms include Keurig tea/coffee makers and chairs upholstered in matte gold lamé. Red lacquered nightstands, dark carpets, minimalist chairs behind elegant black desks, gray wallpaper with whimsical patterns, ornate mirror frames, and abstract art combine to create stylish, eclectic spaces. Five room configurations have accessible features, from tub grab bars to a roll-in shower. Rooms also include a flat-screen cable TV, an iPod docking station, ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, a mini-bar, and a sitting area.
