The Norblad Hotel is the oldest operating hotel in the oldest settlement west of the Rockies. It is a 90-year-old historic building designed by architect John E. Wicks. The building has two doorways with terra cotta surrounds. It also incorporates a hotel, a common trend during that period. The proprietors of the Sunflower Diary, A. C. Miller and J.H. Jeffers, originally commissioned the building.
