Northwest Portland Hostel offers dorms and private rooms. Free in-room lockers and linens are provided, and towels are available upon request. Most rooms use shared bathrooms; however, the new building has three private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Rooms are available after 3pm, but early check-in is available with free luggage storage.
Dining Options
The Hostel Café is open 7am-11pm, serving classic American meals with Pacific Northwest brews. The cafe features scratch-made food and 12 local beers, kombucha, and wine on tap. A complimentary breakfast includes locally baked bagels with spreads, coffee, tea, and juice. The cafe menu features eggs, bacon, toast, salmon or veggie hash, and homemade granola. Guests can prepare their own meals in one of two fully equipped shared kitchens.
Leisure and Activities
The hostel includes an outdoor courtyard and garden with a BBQ. An indoor bike storage room is available. The staff can share local travel advice and activities. Ask staff about discounted tours of Portland, the Columbia River Gorge & Waterfalls, Mount St Helens Volcano, and the Oregon Coast. A walking tour of Portland departs from the hostel a few times each week. The hostel hosts an Old Time Music jam, Irish Jam, live music/open mic, Trivia Night, and Music Bingo Night in the courtyard.

Located in the historic Nob Hill/Northwest district, the Northwest Portland Hostel is within walking distance to NW 23rd Avenue, Powell's City of Books, Washington Park, the Pearl Art District, and Oldtown/Chinatown. Nob Hill features restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, brew pubs & bars, and an independent film theater. The hostel is 12 blocks (0.7 miles) from the Greyhound/Amtrak stations and 5 blocks from the light rail MAX train (Providence Park stop) from the airport. Street parking is available in Zone M.

The front desk is open 7am-11pm, and registered guests have 24-hour access with a key card. The hostel provides free WiFi throughout. Laundry facilities are available with coin-operated machines. Bike storage is available. Guests can check out what the Centers for Disease Control recommends for travelers. Lockers are available in dorms. You may use your own lock or borrow one for a refundable deposit.
