Cabins and Chalet
Reclusive Moose Cabins are located on Blankenship Road, near Glacier National Park. The property features four cabins and one chalet. Each cabin is one level and accommodates up to five guests, with two bedrooms featuring pocket doors-one with a queen bed, and another with two twin beds. The cabins include a living room with a love seat sofa, a reclining chair, and a folding dining table. A full-size bathroom with a stand-up shower is included. The Glacier View Chalet is a tri-level home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating up to five guests. It has two staircases to access the upper and lower floors, providing a unique and unobstructed view of the Apgar Range and Huckleberry Lookout Tower.
Kitchen and Amenities
The cabins have a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and electric stove/oven. A smart TV and wireless internet are provided. Outdoor amenities include a private furnished front porch, a communal fire pit, and a BBQ area. The Glacier View Chalet offers a full kitchen, a living room with a wood stove, laundry amenities, and a covered deck. The third floor has one private bedroom with a queen bed and one loft-style open bedroom with a queen-size bed and a twin bed. The first floor includes a master bedroom with a king bed, a private bath with a claw-foot tub, and a walk-out basement. It also includes outdoor seating, a BBQ area, board games, and a flatscreen TV.
Activities
Guests can hike, ski, and cycle in the area. Blankenship Bridge is one mile away, offering a view of the confluence of the Middle Fork and North Fork of the Flathead Rivers. This location allows river access for fishing, swimming, and skipping rocks. Cross-country skiing is available at other locations in Flathead Valley with groomed trails. In summer, Glacier National Park provides opportunities for hiking, biking, rafting, and boat tours.
Location & Access
Reclusive Moose Cabins are 30 km from Glacier Park International Airport (FCA). The property is on the paved Blankenship Road, bordering Glacier National Park. From Columbia Falls, follow Hwy 2 and Nucleus Avenue to North Fork Road/Blankenship Road. The Blankenship Volunteer Fire Department serves as a landmark. From West Glacier, take Lake 5 Road, then Belton Stage Road, and finally Blankenship Road to the cabins. Note that Glacier National Park requires a ticketed-entry system for private vehicles accessing Going to the Sun Road, Two Medicine, Many Glacier, and Polebridge entrances.
Services
Cabins are stocked with recommendations for hiking, dining, and local activities. The property has parking for one to two vehicles per cabin. Guests have access to cruiser bikes for the one-mile ride to the river and a complimentary EV Charging Station. Additional amenities include Glacier Day Hikes books, bear spray, card games, travel guide books, ice packs, a cooler, and beach towels. Service Dogs are permitted with up-to-date vaccinations. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 10 AM. No ATVs, Razors, or Snowmobiles are allowed on the property.
