Rooms and Cabins
Sun Mountain Lodge provides lodge rooms with mountain or valley views. Lodge rooms have renovated bathrooms and Nespresso coffee makers. Some rooms offer private decks or patios and fireplaces. Bent-willow furniture and Northwest art decorate each room. Suites include living areas and separate bedrooms. Select Robinson Rooms feature jetted tubs and views of Mount Robinson. Patterson Lake Cabins include one-bedroom cabins, Loft Suites, and Grande Suites. Cabins have air conditioning, full kitchens, gas fireplaces, and front porches. Loft Suites have two bedrooms and sleep up to five. Grande Suites accommodate up to eight people.
Dining choices
Sun Mountain Lodge has two restaurants. The Dining Room features dishes with local ingredients and views of the North Cascades. The Wine Cellar contains 3,500 bottles of wine, with 275 labels from Washington State, plus Northwest, California, and international wines. Up to fourteen guests can dine privately in the wine cellar. Wolf Creek Bar & Grill serves food in a casual atmosphere, featuring local wines and craft beers. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan menu options are available.
Activities and Wellness
Sun Mountain Lodge has a spa with body and skin care treatments, using Sothys skin care, Colorscience make-up, and OPI nail care products. The Activities Shop has sports and technical wear, plus accessories. Guests can access over 40 miles of trails, two heated pools open in the summer, two hot tubs open all year, tennis courts, a library, and an exercise facility. Seasonal activities include mountain biking, fly fishing, and horseback riding. The Cascade Game Room has pool tables, ping pong, and foosball. There is also a lake beach front, a petting zoo, a gym, kids playgrounds, and a gift shop.
Location and Access
Sun Mountain Lodge is located on the eastern side of the Cascade Loop, near the North Cascade Highway. The North Cascades Visitor Center in Newhalem is nearby. The lodge is close to the Twisp Farmer's Market, open mid-April to October. Winthrop National Fish Hatchery is 5 km away, and Shafer Historical Museum is 6 km away. Starline Luxury Coaches (800-407-7154) and Lakeside Limousine of Chelan (509-470-0333) offer transportation. The Methow Valley State Airport (FAA Identifier: S52) is near Winthrop. Sun Mountain offers complimentary van service to and from the Methow Valley State Airport for groups of five or less.
