Rooms at Sun Mountain
Sun Mountain Lodge features rooms in the Main Lodge and cabins by Patterson Lake. Lodge guestrooms offer views of the North Cascades or the Methow Valley. Renovated rooms include walk-in showers and furniture crafted by local artisans. Cabins range from one-bedroom to Loft and Grande Suites. Patterson Lake Cabins include air conditioning, full kitchens, gas fireplaces, and front porches. Loft Suites have two bedrooms, 1 3/4 baths, a full kitchen, a dining area, a living area, and a gas stove. Two Grande Suites sleep up to eight or eleven people with similar layouts to the loft suites plus expanded living areas.
Dining at Sun Mountain
Sun Mountain Lodge features two restaurants. The Dining Room has earned over 55 years of dining awards and features dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The Wolf Creek Bar & Grill offers a family-friendly environment with regional wines and craft beers. The Wine Cellar contains 3,500 bottles with over 275 labels from Washington State, Northwest, and California wines, as well as select vintages from around the globe. Up to fourteen guests can experience a private dinner in the wine cellar.
Leisure and Entertainment
Sun Mountain Lodge features two outdoor heated swimming pools open during the summer and two year-round hot tubs. The Cascade Room includes pool tables, ping pong, and foosball. The Spa at Sun Mountain Lodge offers body and skin care treatments, as well as Sothys skin care line, Colorscience make-up, and Spa Ritual. There are activities, like mountain bikes, fly fishing trips, and horse riding available seasonally. Other activities include hiking, skiing, and horseback riding. The Lodge features over 40 miles of trails. The Adventure Shop rents mountain bikes, e-bikes, rowboats, paddleboards, and canoes.
Location and Transportation
Sun Mountain Lodge is located in Winthrop in the Methow Valley, on the eastern side of the Cascade Loop. The North Cascades Visitor Center in Newhalem has information about the construction of the North Cascades Highway, maps, wildlife guides and interpretive trails. The Methow Valley State Airport is near Winthrop. Sun Mountain offers complimentary van service to and from the Methow Valley State Airport for groups of five or less. Starline Luxury Coaches serves guests from 16 passengers up to 56 passengers.
Lodge Services
Sun Mountain Lodge's gift shop offers clothing, logo wear, hats, scarves, and jewelry. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The lodge has meeting sites, event staff, catering, and AV equipment. The lodge also offers electric car charging stations.
