THE ISLANDER INN, Woods Bay

The Islander Inn, located near Flathead Lake, offers eight bungalow-style rooms, each decorated with island influences. Room options include Zanzibar, a 750-square-foot bungalow with hand-carved African masks, a king-size bed, queen sofa bed, Jacuzzi, and allows pets. Anguilla A & B feature ocean-inspired decor, flat-screen TVs, and spacious showers; Anguilla B also includes a toaster and microwave. The Maui Suite is styled like a Hawaiian plantation home and allows pets. Crete offers a Mediterranean theme. Jamaica is styled after a traditional Jamaican plantation home, while Wild Horse provides a rustic Montana feel with a queen bed and allows pets. Dog sledding trips are available via Base Camp Bigfork in Ferndale.

Situated in Woods Bay, The Islander Inn is a short distance south of Bigfork, Montana, and is 55 km from Glacier Park International. Bigfork's Electric Avenue features galleries, gourmet kitchen suppliers, souvenir and clothing shops, coffee roasters, cafes, and fine dining restaurants. The Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts hosts repertory theater, movies, concerts, and special events. Glacier National Park is less than an hour's drive.
