KANDAHAR LODGE AT WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN RESORT, Whitefish

Kandahar Lodge at Whitefish Mountain Resort provides accommodations in 50 rooms. Options include Lodge Rooms with two queen beds or one queen bed and a full sleeper sofa, Studio Rooms with one queen bed and a full sofa sleeper, and Loft Rooms with multiple queen beds and sofa sleepers. Kitchen Loft units feature a sleeping loft with a kitchen/dining/living area. The Executive Suite includes a king bed, three queen beds, and a full sofa sleeper, plus a fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances and laundry facilities. Two Room Lodge Suites combine a Lodge Room with a Studio Room, offering three queen beds, a full sofa sleeper, two full baths, and a kitchen. The Garret Room features ski decor, a bistro table, and a small TV. Rooms include a microwave, a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, air conditioning, and down comforters. Daily housekeeping and Wi-Fi are included. The entire Lodge is non-smoking.

The east side of the Lobby functions as the continental breakfast area for guests and can be used as a dance floor. A continental breakfast is served daily, featuring hard boiled eggs, meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, juices, coffees, and oatmeal. Café Kandahar is an upscale restaurant. The Café boasts an extensive wine list with accolades such as 'The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence' and the 'Wine Enthusiasts Award of Unique Distinction'. The Snug Bar offers an appetizer and taps menu that varies seasonally, with expanded take-out options. The onsite bar serves a menu from Café Kandahar. Special menus can be created by Chef Andy Blanton, based on desires and budget. Buchanan's at Kandahar Lodge is a chophouse and whisky bar that serves Alberta beef, house-made pastas, soups, and sauces.

The Lodge provides a wellness center with a steam room, a fitness center, and a large outdoor Jacuzzi with a heated outdoor entry and heated flooring. The fitness center is equipped with a large screen TV, cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, a bosu ball, and a yoga mat. Massage on the Mountain offers therapeutic massage treatments. A quintessential ski lodge is located mid-mountain with a gathering area and fireplace. An area with comfortable furniture and a wood burning fireplace is available. The Northern Lights Room in the Wellness Center is a space for group dining and parties.

Kandahar Lodge is located at Whitefish Mountain Resort, 7 miles from Whitefish and 32 miles from Glacier National Park. The Lodge offers a ski-in location via Hailey's Run. A free snow bus provides transport to downtown. The Lodge is 35 km from Glacier Park International. Nearby landmarks include Whitefish Mountain Resort (0.5 km), Les Mason State Park (3 km), and Whitefish Lake (4 km).
