Cabins for up to Four
Lodgepole Gallery provides cabins that can sleep up to four people with a queen size bed and a full-size pull-out couch/bed. Each cabin has electricity, high-speed internet, and heat. Linens and pillows are included. A view of a prairie lake and the Rocky Mountains can be captured from the cabin window or patio. The bathhouse, a short walk from the cabins, includes a private bathroom and shower.
Outdoor Dining Facilities
Guests can enjoy meals on the outdoor patio with a BBQ and outside kitchen facilities. A large partially enclosed patio includes a fridge, coffee machine, microwave, and seating area. A fireplace for grilling is available in the arbor/picnic area.
Blackfeet Cultural Adventures
Lodgepole Gallery provides picturesque nature walks with Native American history. Tom, an experienced Blackfeet guide, provides historic tours. Guests can learn about medicinal plants and cultural history. Guided boat trips on Saint Mary Lake and Two Medicine Lake are available. Horseback riding with a Blackfeet guide on Spanish Mustang horses is offered at the neighboring village of Heart Butte.
Location and Access
Lodgepole Gallery is located on two hundred acres of prairie with a spring-fed lake 2.5 miles west of Browning, Montana on Hwy 89. The gallery is near Glacier National Park. Nearby airports include Glacier International Airport in Kalispell, Montana, Great Falls International Airport in Great Falls, Montana and Calgary International Airport in Alberta, Canada.
Native American Art Gallery
The Lodgepole Gallery features Native American art, including traditional and contemporary fine works from Plains Indians. Art by Darrell Norman, David Dragonfly, Barbara Mitchell, and Francis Wall is featured. Barbara Mitchell works in oils, acrylics, colored pencils, and pen and ink. Francis Wall combines realistic and abstract forms.
“The appeal here lies in its unique setting and character. While the cabins offer simple comfort with prairie views, the separate bathhouse might pose a challenge for some. This family-run property, close to Browning, provides a tranquil base for exploring the region, though dining options nearby are limited.”
