Things to Know
Schooner's Cove Inn is named for the cannon that washed ashore from a shipwrecked schooner in 1846. It's one of two Cannon Beach hotels owned by Westover Inns. Another Westover Inns property is The Wayside Inn, located south of town in the Tolovana area. Puffins can be observed on Haystack Rock from early spring to mid-summer. Guests discover restaurants, shops, galleries, bakeries, coffee houses, and the Cannon Beach Coaster Theater. During a tsunami, sirens will sound to signal evacuation to higher ground. The test system is the loud mooing of cows.
